  OSHAWA AND AJAX, ONTARIO
OSHAWA

OshawaLogo.gif (9278 bytes)Residents of Oshawa enjoy a wide variety of shopping, medical, educational, cultural and recreational facilities. The City's proximity to Metropolitan Toronto means that the activities of Canada's leading business and cultural centre are a short distance away. It is possible to enjoy the advantages of "big-city" living in Oshawa while avoiding the associated high costs and congestion of Toronto. Oshawa’s location also provides convenient access to the surrounding countryside and the recreational opportunities afforded by Lake Ontario and the Kawartha and Haliburton tourist regions.

The city is also home to Windfields Farm, a thoroughbred horse breeding operation and birthplace of Canada's most famous racehorse, Northern Dancer.

AJAX

logo-ajax.gif (5553 bytes)Ajax is part of Durham Region, one of the fastest growing areas of Ontario. Residents enjoy a full range of excellent municipal services of city quality in a mid-sized town setting. We enjoy and strive to preserve a rich natural heritage, including waterways such as Duffins and Carruthers Creek and, most importantly, Lake Ontario. Ajax's 6 k.m. of waterfront remain largely undeveloped for the enjoyment of everyone, with acres of parkland and natural areas.
