What's on Where
Oshawa and Ajax, Ontario
|
|
|
|
|
|
| OSHAWA Residents of Oshawa enjoy a wide variety of shopping, medical,
educational, cultural and recreational facilities. The City's proximity to Metropolitan
Toronto means that the activities of Canada's leading business and cultural centre are a
short distance away. It is possible to enjoy the advantages of "big-city" living
in Oshawa while avoiding the associated high costs and congestion of Toronto.
Oshawas location also provides convenient access to the surrounding countryside and
the recreational opportunities afforded by Lake Ontario and the Kawartha and Haliburton
tourist regions.
The city is also home to Windfields Farm, a thoroughbred horse breeding operation and
birthplace of Canada's most famous racehorse, Northern Dancer.
AJAX
Ajax is part of Durham Region, one of the
fastest growing areas of Ontario. Residents enjoy a full range of excellent municipal
services of city quality in a mid-sized town setting. We enjoy and strive to preserve a
rich natural heritage, including waterways such as Duffins and Carruthers Creek and, most
importantly, Lake Ontario. Ajax's 6 k.m. of waterfront remain largely undeveloped for the
enjoyment of everyone, with acres of parkland and natural areas.

NUNSENSE II: The Second Coming
Herongate Barn Theatre
All Sundays are matinees: 12:00 pm arrival, show 2:00 pm
Music & Lyrics by Dan Goggin
The sisters are back presenting a "thank-you" show for all the people who
supported them in the past. But now, they're a bit slicker, having been "bitten by
the theater bug." Things get to off to a rousing start as the sisters sing Nunsense,
the Magic Word, but before long. chaos erupts. Two Franciscans come to claim Sister Mary
Amnesia (who has won the Publishers? Clearing House Sweepstakes) as one of their own. At
the same time the nuns hear that a talent scout is in the audience to see them strut their
stuff. From the riotous bingo game run by Sister Amnesia to the hilarious duet, What Would
Elvis Do?, to the rousing finale, There's Only One Way to End Your Prayers and That's to
Say Amen!, this show will have you rolling in the aisles!
