Doors Open Mississauga and Fall Plant Sale
The Riverwood Conservancy, 4300 Riverwood Park Lane
Enjoy indoor explorations at Riverwood as Chappell House, MacEwan Field Station and Visual
Arts Mississauga will be open to the public for Doors Open Mississauga. Food will be
available for purchase on the Chappell House lawn. TRC, in cooperation with the
Mississauga Master Gardeners, will hold its fall perennial plant sale on the Chappell
House lawn. Proceeds from the plant sale go to support TRCs many programs in
gardening, stewardship, nature and environmental education.

Best known as a regular on This Hour Has 22 Minutes and host of Montreal's Just For Laughs
Festival, the hilarious Shaun Majumder will make you laugh till it hurts! This Gemini
Award winning Canadian comedian's unique style of comedy is described as clean and clever
not to mention hilarious. Born and raised in Newfoundland and now living in Los Angeles,
California, Canadian actor and comedian Shaun Majumder is currently the co-star on the hit
Fox sitcom The Rules of Starting Over. He has appeared in several feature films, including
Harold and Kumar go to White Castle and The Ladies Man. His television career has included
roles on CBS's The Late Show with Craig Kilborn, Comedy Central's Premium Blend, and most
notably on CBC's This Hour Has 22 Minutes. Shaun is also a favourite of Montreal's Just
For Laughs Comedy Festival, having hosted the TV series for three seasons.
In 2006 Shaun shared the Gemini Award for best ensemble performance in a comedy program or
series with the cast of This Hour Has 22 Minutes. Shaun won a Gemini Award in 2004 for the
TV series Shaun's Great Adventure and was awarded the Canadian Comedy Award for Pretty
Funny Stand Up in 2002.

Southside Shuffle,
Port Credit's Blues and Jazz Festival
Memorial Park, Lakeshore Road, along the Credit River, Mississauga
This festival features an abundance of events in the newly re-developed Memorial Park
including our MainStage, Southstage, de Eyre Square, Vendor Village, Food Court and Beer
Gardens and even more Live Entertainment in the restaurants, pubs, coffee houses, clubs
and outdoor cafes of Port Credit. Throughout the weekend and the village of Port Credit,
over 120 Canadian and International acts will perform on a variety of stages and venues.
Offering fans that little something for everyone.Lets not forget the
Shuffles community spirit with the more than $100,000 generated for Sick Kids
Hospital at the Sick Kids Jam Stage. Held annually at the Port Credit Royal Canadian
Legion and hosted by Juno nominee, The Johnny Max Band, this Friday and Saturday night
venue features a variety of special guest appearances from the over 120 performing weekend
acts. Boasting yet another festival highlight, The Southside Shuffle is proud to once
again present the Sick Kids Southstage. Free to the public, the Southside ShuffleÆs Sick
Kids Southstage showcases numerous Rhythm and Blues acts as well as Blues and Jazz
musicians of the future. The Junior Jam provides aspiring musicians under 18 with an
opportunity to play with professionals. LaVilla Fine Foods Harmonica Workshop is a fun and
interactive workshop offered to kids between 8 and 12 years of age. Headlining this year
at the Memorial Park Mainstage are: Ronnie Hawkins, Downchild, Raoul and The Big Time, Dr.
Hook, Elvin Bishop, Watermelon Slim, Johnny Winter, Mark Hummels Blues Harmonica
Blowout, Monkeyjunk and Mark Staffords Junior Jam.
