Ontario Events

Celebrated April 22, Earth Day is the largest, most celebrated environmental event worldwide.

More than 6 million Canadians join 500 million people in over 180 countries in staging events and projects to address local environmental issues. Nearly every school child in Canada takes part in an Earth Day activity.

Environmental challenges abound as our daily actions pollute and degrade the fragile environment that humans and wildlife depend on to survive.

What can we do?

Earth Day provides the opportunity for positive actions and results. Be part of the many events happening in your area.

Earth Run Foundation: Earth Run - Toronto

Exhibition Place, Princess Blvd.

The Earth Run Foundation is a charitable organization with a mandate to bring people together toward building a sustainable future. This is our first 5km Earth Run/Walk to help raise awareness and support for local environmental initiatives that improve people’s quality of life. Most running events generate huge amounts of waste and are not environmentally friendly. Earth Run is leading the way and has eliminated typical run practices to reduce waste and our carbon footprint. Working with Athletes for a Fit Planet, Earth Run uses the CRS (Council for Responsible Sport) standards as a guide to ensure minimal impact. The benefiting Canadian partners are the David Suzuki Foundation and Evergreen. All participants will receive FREE ADMISSION to the Green Living Show.
