Going into its 24th year, under the direction of the City of Bramptons Economic
Development Office, the Brampton Farmers Market has seen an ever-increasing
attendance at this successful community event. In 2007, more than 60,000 people visited

The Brampton Concert Band
Under the direction of Music Director Mr. Darryl Eaton, the Brampton Concert Band
carries on their long tradition of performing in Gage Park. The City of Brampton Concert
Band is a not-for-profit organization based in Brampton, Ontario. Comprised of 40 - 75
members between the ages of 14 - 75+, they were honored to perform at the World
Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) 2007 conference in Killarney,
Ireland in July 2007. More information on the band is available on their website

The Lorne Scots
The Lorne Scots Regiment traces its roots back to 1866 and the amalgamation of two
infantry battalions emerging as the 20th Halton Battalion Lorne Rifles in 1881.
Authorization to form a Pipe Band came at that time. In 1930, during a reorganization,
they divided and became the Lorne Scots, separate from the Brampton Citizens Band,
which later evolved into Brampton Concert Band. These two organizations have a long
connected history.
